Family support
These nine short video clips support the family education element of a much wider treatment protocol developed for stimulant use. Each video clip covers a specific aspect of family education relating to substance misuse problems in general and stimulant misuse specifically. The manual and the clips relate to the US treatment context but do also contain useful material for use in the UK.
The clips could be used for a family intervention perhaps in a group format. It may also be possible to suggest families view some or all of the clips independently, for example where they were unable to attend a treatment service for support. The videos could also be a valuable part of staff training around supporting families of service users.
